We finished our activity by hanging it in our colorful corner in the school corridor.

Down sendromu gününün anlamına uygun bir mesaj kartı hazırlayarak okulumuzun çorap köşesindeki iplere çoraplarımızı asıp ardından köşemizde yapmış olduğumuz ağaca mesaj kartımızı astık./ As part of our project, we designed socks with my students and made colorful socks from foam cardboard for the 21 March World Down Syndrome Day. We prepared a message card suitable for the meaning of Down syndrome day, hung our socks on the ropes in the sock corner of our school, and then hung our message card on the tree we made in our corner.

Our students in year 9 celebrated the ´WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY´ by wearing colourful attractive socks on their feet. Boys of the class created a poster for this special day. Girls of the class explained what down syndrome is to the rest of the classroom by the presentation they had prepared for the day. All the students gained the fundamental information about the syndrome and they also learned the meaning of wearing colourful socks as well as why this special day is celebrated on the 21st of March.
